How does one get invited to the Quora Partner Program? What criteria do they use, or is it completely random?
I live in Germany. I got an invite to the Quora partner program the day I landed in USA for a business trip. So from what I understand, irrespective of the number of views on your answers, there is some additional eligibility criteria for you to even get an email invite. If you read the terms of service, point 1 states:Eligibility. You must be located in the United States to participate in this Program. If you are a Quora employee, you are eligible to participate and earn up to a maximum of $200 USD a month. You also agree to be bound by the Platform Terms (https://www.quora.com/about/tos) as a condition of participation.Again, if you check the FAQ section:How can other people I know .participate? The program is invite-only at this time, but we intend to open it up to more people as time goes on.So my guess is that Quora is currently targeting people based out of USA, who are active on Quora, may or may not be answering questions frequently ( I have not answered questions frequently in the past year or so) and have a certain number of consistent answer views.Edit 1: Thanks to @Anita Scotch, I got to know that the Quora partner program is now available for other countries too. Copying Anuta’s comment here:If you reside in one of the Countries, The Quora Partner Program is active in, you are eligible to participate in the program.” ( I read more will be added, at some point, but here are the countries, currently eligible at this writing,) U.S., Japan, Germany, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Italy and Australia.11/14/2018Edit 2 : Here is the latest list of countries with 3 new additions eligible for the Quora Partner program:U.S., Japan, Germany, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Canada, Australia, Indonesia, India and Brazil. Thanks to Monoswita Rez for informing me about this update.
How do you apply for funding through the Startup India program?
The easiest and the fastest way! But you need to do some footwork and go outside the building. If you are an established business, go for these programs and funding programs.MUDRA Loan:- Upto 10 Lakh Rupees for almost all kinds of business. You might not have seen it, Govt of India is also promoting this on  TV Ads. No collatral  needed. Upto 10 Lakhs Loan basis some documents and 25% loan on what you project for the upcoming program.Register under MSME. This is a good path to take it. Please get acquainted with all processes.  Ministry of Micro Small and Medium EnterprisesEnroll in Govt of India's two days program of National Institute For Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development| IT Training Programmes, How to Raise Finance and Mitigate Risk program in Noida, or a city near you. Its a 2 days  course and they teach you about how to get funded both debt and equity. Very informative program Rs. 5000/- for two  days. Also complete the certification in EDP (Entrepreneurship Development Program) from here. You see, Govt is surely doing many things. As a matter of fact I have factual proofs in my email in which  Ministry of Finance wrote to Bank when  I raised complaint about delay in payment. The response was within 2 days. For entrepreneurs Govt is providing loan facilities. Smooth operations and many other aspects. For Investors, Govt is coming out with various investor friendly policies. These are just some of the options which Govt is really pushing so that  entrepreneurs know about it and avail these options. There is a very good support from Govt. What I have realized is that we are just not looking at Govt. of India's existing plans and changes in policies. Once you follow all Govt norms and easy documentations, it would be easy to rise funds. My write up is only in addition  to what others have contributed. Take out a week or so it would be great trip of registering your firm  and raising funds.Attaching the checklist, almost the same for all other loans.
How do I get a job as a barista at Starbucks?
I worked around the corner (literally, our back hallway was connected) and came by frequently for coffee. I was always polite, engaged with every barista individually, and made a habit of asking for extra topping as extra love. Apparently, I left a good impression and was told by the manager she was looking to hire soon and would be willing to set aside an interview for me if I applied.Spoiler alert, but I was hired. During my interview, I specified my strongest asset was customer service (true still) and expressed a passion for coffee (also very true to this day). I was honest and enthusiastic, and many of the employees had put in a good word for me.Now I know, though it isn't some big secret, that many times we look to our customers for potential referrals. We know and love our regulars and can easily identify traits in them that easily align with and exemplify the Starbucks values. It isn't a surefire way to get hired, and there are many other factors that played into my success, but if anyone truly has a passion for coffee and delivering an extraordinary customer experience? Definitely express your interest to your baristas. Or if you make a very strong impression, one might encourage you to apply anyway. I won't lie, there have been exactly two occasions where I have been so impressed with and genuinely touched by the level of service and charisma by the workers of another chain that I've blurted out, “Thank you, you've been wonderful. You should apply at Starbucks because this has been a fantastic experience for me.” And there have been many other times I've thought that but my mouth didn't get away from me. :)
How do you think America would react if starbucks's reaction to this "war on Christmas" outcry was to put a dreidel on the cup instead?
A Rabbi friend of my husband was asked about this War on Christmas thing- he said he's not offended when someone says Merry Christmas, says the PC crap is what will elevate Donald Trump into the White House: This Starbucks controversy gives Trump followers yet one MORE reason.
Do military members have to pay any fee for leave or fiancee forms?
NOOOOOOO. You are talking to a military romance scammer. I received an email from the US Army that directly answers your question that is pasted below please keep reading.I believe you are the victim of a military Romance Scam whereas the person you are talking to is a foreign national posing as an American Soldier claiming to be stationed overseas on a peacekeeping mission. That's the key to the scam they always claim to be on a peacekeeping mission.Part of their scam is saying that they have no access to their money that their mission is highly dangerous. If your boyfriend girlfriend/future husband/wife is asking you to do the following or has exhibited this behavior, it is a most likely a scam:Moves to private messaging site immediately after meeting you on Facebook or SnapChat or Instagram or some dating or social media site. Often times they delete the site you met them on right after they asked you to move to a more private messaging siteProfesses love to you very quickly & seems to quote poems and song lyrics along with using their own sort of broken language, as they profess their love and devotion quickly. They also showed concern for your health and love for your family.Promises marriage as soon as he/she gets to state for leave that they asked you to pay for. They Requests money (wire transfers) and Amazon, iTune ,Verizon, etc gift cards, for medicine, religious practices, and leaves to come home, internet access, complete job assignments, help sick friend, get him out of trouble, or anything that sounds fishy. The military does prall the soldier needs including food medical Care and transportation for leave. Trust me, I lived it, you are probably being scammed. I am just trying to show you examples that you are most likely being connned.Below is an email response I received after I sent an inquiry to the US government when I discovered I was scammed. I received this wonderful response back with lots of useful links on how to find and report your scammer. And how to learn more about Romance Scams.Right now you can also copy the picture he gave you and do a google image search and you will hopefully see the pictures of the real person he is impersonating. this doesn't always work and take some digging. if you find the real person you can direct message them and alert them that their image is being used for scamming.Good Luck to you and I'm sorry this may be happening to you. please continue reading the government response I received below it's very informative.   You have contacted an email that is monitored by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command. Unfortunately, this is a common concern. We assure you there is never any reason to send money to anyone claiming to be a Soldier online. Someone left a Starbucks coffee cup on table of Game of Thrones' set. Who would have drunk that coffee? What do you think about this mysterious coffee cup?
It was an accident.First of all, it’s not a Starbucks cup per se but rather a typical takeaway warm beverage cup from their craft cart. But secondly, there’s no way that they would have attempted that piece of anachronism. It’s just not in keeping with the show.Whether it was Emilia or Kit who brought it to the set, and consequently forgot to hide it for the shot, we’ll never know.Could be worse. The coffee cup mystery is drowning out the critics who are questioning the direction of this show.
If you left a survey for burglars to fill out the next time they ransacked your home, how would they rate the experience?
How did you learn about us?Rumors about rural houses having little Security.Location: 5/10Location was alright. Around 500 meters to the nearest neighbor. But unfortunately an hour away from any sizable population (20,000 plus being a sizable population.)Transportation: 10/10Transportation was top notch. The owners of the property never lock their Minivan or Pick-up truck. The keys are always left in the vehicles. Both are moderately new and somewhat non-descriptive so a perfect getaway vehicle. Not only did they prvehicles they also kept trailers in a easily accessible unlocked shed.Security: 9/10Security was lax. There is a gate but it isn’t locked. Doors aren’t locked unless the house is left unoccupied for more than 2 weeks. No cameras made it really easy. They did have a dog which made it a bit of a pain. He was easily disposed of as he was just a Labrador Retriever puppy. Owners are very light sleepers don’t rob if they’re around.Products: 10/10No place has better selection. The place had 3 DSLR cameras, 3 Workstation class desktops, 3 tablets, 4 drones, 6 Smartphones, 9 external monitors and 11 laptops. All of the items were of premium design and value (aka Apples or equivalent). The freezers and shelves were well stocked the rest of the property was much more appealing though. They also had a shop on the property with many tools ranging from mechanics to carpentry to fabrication. The tools were of medium quality. The shop also stored 2 ATV for added convenience. The shop wasn’t the jackpot though. The shed was the real treasure trove. This drive in shed held heavy equipment all with the keys in the ignition for easy accessibility. The average equipment’s value was around $100,000, with a combined value of around $1.5 Million. Unfortunately the heavy equipment is hard to transport and the market is too small to get away with it.The products all seemed gift wrapped for the taking. Everything was easy to find as it looked organized.Laws in the area: 10/10Owners aren’t allowed to use lethal force or even have a premeditated weapon for self defense. A robber in the area once accidentally locked himself into the garage place he was robbing. As the owners did not come home for a couple days he resorted to eating dog food. The end result was the owners were charged for negligence of the robber. Laws almost protect us. Owners are not supposed to attack us in any way or they may be charged.Would you recommend to your friends? If everybody is gone a resounding yes. Unfortunately that’s not very often as the house is occupied by Home-schooling kids, a Writer and the owner is a farmer who mostly works on property. Also if you intend to use brute force, bring a weapon. All the occupants are big. The average height is around 6 feet.BTW bring friends to help loot. It really requires a team of people to loot the place.
